First I finally got the missing pieces for my sewing machine. I finally was able to finish up the project bags I was making.
TADA!!!!!
Two each. Two bat bags and two spider bags. The spiders have the bats and the inner fabric and the bates have the spiders as the inner fabric. I quite like them. I used The Twisted Stitcher's tutorial. It was wonderfully easy to follow.
I worked on Beatrix Potter this round. Here she was before.
Here she is after. A finish! My fourth finish of the year and my third finish of my January starts. Not great on finishes this year. Still, she is finished and I am quite chuffed with that.
Been spending today making quince jam. It's is a time consuming jam. Best I get back to it.
Happy Stitching all!!!

I did it!
I did it, I did it. Happy happy dance. Last night I put the last stitches into Paradigm Lost. I guess putting the year 2012 on it was perfectly fine. Easily fine. I am feeling quite dandy about this finish.
On to the pictures. I even tried to get all artsy-smartsy on a few.
The whole piece. Even with the eek margin on the left side it is looking good.
Close up of the birdies in one motif. I just think they are too cute.
A shot of all the different blues used in the piece.
One of the motifs with backstitching that isn't shown on the cover of the chart.
Ooooh. Attempt (and failure) at artsy shot.
The way the "1" is placed and stitched makes it look a little funny. I've thought about changing it but... eh. Not going to.
The total stitched size came out to around 20" by 21". It was a really pretty easy stitch. I was lucky that Sir Frog didn't make too much of an appearance. My border met on the first try. I noticed my not enough thread issue before I started stitching so when the dye lots didn't match it was no big deal. I was able to use both throughout the entire piece.
I have become more of a one-at-a-time stitcher this year. Other than the occasional SAL that I need to keep up on I have been sticking with this one piece until it was finished. I think I will continue to do that for, perhaps, the rest of the year. I had forgotten how it was to watch the continual progression on one piece. I enjoyed it. I also feel that I am making some decent stitching progress.
I most likely won't be making another post for awhile. I have family coming in to visit and we will be doing a lot of travel while they are here. I'll be taking my sister to Paris.... I can't wait. Then later when my mom visits we will be going to Paris and London. Not much stitching in my near future. That is one reason I am so happy to finish Paradigm Lost now. :)

AAAAANNNND Done!
I have finished Blessings & Kind Wishes. It was a nice project to haul around with me. :)
All finished... down to the initials. There was one thing that kept bugging me about this chart. See that really pretty blue colour.... the one on the house? It is called Shamrock. The whole time I was stitching with that colour it annoyed me. heh.
Next up will be HOHRH. I think I am on block 6? Maybe.

Oh Snap!
Yes, I finished up Snapperbets last night. I was sooooo very close to running out of thread, yet again! Gah. That was one thing I really didn't like about this piece. Why can't they put thread totals on them... it is nice to know if you need 4 or 5 skiens of something. Ah, well. It is finished.
Please forgive the horrible wrinkles. This piece seems to have been abused. Also, forgive the lighting in the pictures.... we have moved into dark winter grey mode and if I wait for a nice bright day I won't get any pictures taken for months!
I also took a picture of the Granny Stripe I am working on. The colour in this picture is even worse! Wow. That truly is terrible. Maybe next picture I will get better colour. At least it is starting to look like a blanket. I think I am really really going to like this one.
After finished up Snapperbets I pulled out a "new" old project. Started getting it all set up again and... hmmm... I am missing eight thread colours. I know that at one point I had all the threads I needed. This just means that I have been robbing that kit for a bit. ooops. Now I need to replace them. So, until I get those threads it will be put on hold for a little bit. It isn't like I don't have a ton of other things to work on. Gah. For now it will be part 3 of Odds and Ends. :)

Finally finished
First I wanted to thank all of you for your comments on my last post. I only wish you all could see the piece in person... my phtography skills are lacking!
Now, onto my new finish. This is Tranquility (not so) Mystery Sampler. It came out in 2007, and that is when I started stitching it. Some time that year it fell by the wayside and ended up in it's project bag, neglected. I put it into rotation in my Smalls spot. It really isn't that small, but I knew that I would get to it and finish it if I did this. That and since it was done over 1 on 32 count it was still small enough to travel with.
Over the weekend at the beach cabin I put in the final stitch. It feels nice to have this one completed.

Feeling productive
Finished up what I wanted to on the UFO RR I have. It was a TW.... which means tons of backstitch. In fact, that is all I did on it! Now at least there will be a little less for someone else. That was also the last RR for the year. Feels good to be done.
After I finished that up I took out The Token. I knew it was clost to done so felt it should get top spot. Well, and hour later I am done with it. Dang! I knew it was clost I just didn't know it was THAT close. So terrible. Now it is done though. So, how about a picture.

I used GAST thread in Holly Berry. No clue on the fabric.
Now I get to go and choose what to work on next, again. I just did that earlier today! I have Nova, and Celtic Banner. Soon I should get my UFO RR piece back too. Think I will work on Celtic Banner for a bit again. I know I won't be finishing that one up in a hour.

New Year's Eve Fairy
Another finish from my smalls pile. The last few have been quick! It is always nice to see progress like that. Makes me happy.

I had to come up with some kind of story for this little fairy. She is sooooo frightfully pink in the skin! So I decided she must have a story behind her. This is it. She went visiting in Australia for New Years.... and stayed out on the beach a bit too long without sun protection. :) How else would you get skin that pink! Luckily my photo has calmed some of the pink tone. heh.
This was a quick stitch and it was pretty fun.
Next up in the smalls will be Tranquility Mystery Sampler. I have a few pages done already, and am hoping that this will be the way to finish it. It will take me a lot longer than the last few smalls. :)
Next up in my stitching, however, will be a model. I have it all set up and ready to get stitching on it. It is a prett small one so I am hoping I can finish it up this weekend. I "think" I might be able to do that. I do plan on having the next few nights be epic with numb butt.

And more
First, thank you all for your wonderful comments on Middi. I just wish you could see her in person.... pictures are just not doing her justice!
I had finished this the night before I finished Middi, but didn't want to put it in the same post as her finish. I wanted my pretty Middi to shine all on her own. :)

I am still missing the small bat button, but I think I may just find something at the fabric store to put on it.

Progress and pictures
I have finished block 1 on HOHRH. The daily thread thing is working well for me. It seems like there is so little done each day, just a thread or maybe two. It amazes me how fast those single threads can add up. I am waiting til the whole thing is finished to put in the personalization. Who knows how long it will take me!

Also I finished the latest small. It was a very fast stitch. Just two waits at climbing. The fabric is really a pale sky blue colour. I seem to have a very washed out picture.

I'll try and be back tomorrow with my goals post.

A finish and a beginning
So, I finished my CDC. Yippie! I loved working with the HDF. So easy. And the Dragon Hoard colour just looks wonderful against the black. It makes me think of those Ukranian dyed eggs.

Also, I am going to start a project that gets a daily strand put into it. I am going to work on HOHRH for this. Here is where it stands now. I'll post pictures when there is any real progess.

Pretty sad looking... ain't it.

A finish, and thoughts
First some thoughts. After kitting up a ton of my charts that have just been sitting around I am now thinking that next year it might be a good idea to do a 50 chart challenge. I could easily finish 50 things and still have more to stitch. Scary. I need to think more about this.
And now a finish! Last night I finished up the Big Zipper. I started it.. mumbulty mumble. And now it is done. Feels good to have it done.

those plans... and model stitching
I have sucessfully avoided any new starts. Thanks all for commenting and telling me you feel the same about wanting to start new things... and that sticking with fewer, or one, can indeed make projects get done faster! I do know this. heh. But need to kick myself with the reminder. Being overwhelmed with WIPs is not a good place to be, which is why I did the no new starts year. And when I do get to start new things... well... I know that I have tons I get to choose from that are just waiting for me!
The last few days there have been no new words from Boo Club. And that is because I was waiting on a thread I had run out of! Once I got it I just zoomed through the last words and now it is all finished and ready to mail off. It feels good to get it done. Now to work on my last UFO RR piece. It has a mail date of July 7, I think. No worries there, I am on it now.
