A Finish!

I am glad I can be a reminder for people!  I have my calendar set to remind me when it is the full moon, otherwise I would never remember unless I saw someone else post.  heh

So, last night I sat down with some determination to finish The Black Gryphon and I did.  OK, so it was a day late for my WIPocalypse post, but who cares!

TA-DA!!!!!

Then I went to look for my other Scarlet Letter charts to see which I wanted to stitch next.... and I can't find any of them!  I must of put them somewhere really smart.  sigh.  So, that's what I will be doing today.

Project wise I will go back to working on my granny stripe blanket.  I do want to see this one finished this year.

Happy Stitching!

WIPocalypse #3

Eeep!  How is it possible that we are already onto the third WIPocalypse this year.

I worked on a handful of things in this past lunar month.... but really don't feel like I made much progress.  Perhaps that will change after this post.  Let's hope!

My Sticklounge pieces were worked on.

Let it Snow before

And after

Then I started a new one.  Zoe Sampler

Very slow progress on my Crazy January pieces.  Only worked a little bit on one of them.

Counting Magpies

The rest of the month was spent on The Black Gryphon

before

after

I was really hoping to get a finish in this month.  Ah well.

Happy Stitching All!

Oh, boy

My weekend was very busy.  I didn't get any stitching time in at all.  Not even a single stitch.  Very sad.  I did get a little bit of time yesterday.

So, here is The Black Gryphon today.

I am sure at some point I will get this one finished.  heh.

Also, I was in a Spring Exchange.  I am sending off my piece today.  As I remembered to take a photo I will be posting that when my partner receives the exchange.
Here is the piece that I was sent.  It is just lovely.

Just a bit more

I have not had much stitching time the past few days.  Just a little bit here and there that I can steal.  So, the progress is not much.

I am still kinda hoping that I will be able to finish this one up over the weekend.  I think that is a false hope as my weekend is really rather busy.  Guess we will just have to see how much stitching time I can sneak in.

Busy Days and Nights

First, I want to thank you all for the comments.

Now.  This week has had very full days, and very full nights.  This makes getting a decent amount of stitching time rather impossible.  Which is sad because I really want to be stitching right now.  Still, I am getting a little bit of time and therefore am making progress.

More fill, again.

I have finished all the outlining of the gryphon and have now moved on to filling him in.  I had to start with his face.  :)

Quite a bit left to go still.  heh.  I do just love this gryphon.  He is so wonderfully crazy.

outlining

I've been working on the outlining of the gryphon all weekend.  I did a bit of hermiting, but not as much stitching, so that outlining is still not quite finished.

Still, I am making good progress and am really enjoying this piece.  Hopefully I will be moving on to the filling in the evening.

Happy Stitching!

Near to the gryphon

In fact, that is all I have left on this piece!

The "m" looking thing in the corner is a symbol for autumn.  The cross in the other is a symbol for Christianity.

The Latin says, "Homo Luge  Fuge, fuge mortalia  Cur amas labilia  Sunt sompnia Omnia  Brumans est mors".  Which evidently translates to, "Lament, man  Flee, flee mortality  Why do you love fleeting things? All are dreams  Death is menacing"

It is IHSW this weekend.  Don't know if I will be hermiting or stitching, but if I am it will be on the crazy gryphon.

A finished border

and then some.  Yesterday I finally finished up that outside border on The Black Gryphon.  Feels good to have it done.

Then I moved onto the center.  Where the first thing I did was work on another border!  It was small and worked up really fast.  Now I am working on the over one words.

Slowly I move closer and closer to the gryphon.

And a little more

border.  Now I have two and a half sides done.

If I have a very good stitching day I just might finish the border tonight.  That will be worth a little dancing.

And more border

I am so ready to be done with this thing!  If I am lucky I think I can finish it this week.  Wish me luck.

The entire top is filled in and now I am working down the left side.  I really like the look of it filled in with ecru.  I just don't like doing it.  heh.

weekend recap

The Kid did teach me his game.  Quite fun, but rather frustrating.  Now it looks like I have yet another game to play.  I don't have time!  I also got a bit of stitching done, though not as much as I would have liked.

The border in The Black Gryphon has a lot more stitching to it than you might think.  heh.

Slowly filling in with the ecru.  Maybe I will have all that done by the end of this week.  :)

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

fill fill fill

I have started the Ecru fill on the border.  In some crazy fantasy world I would get this done over the weekend.  Hey.... a girl can dream, right?

So, hopefully that is what I will be working on this weekend.  Without too many distractions.  Though I know there will be some.  The Kid wants to teach me how to play one of his video games.  :)

2 x-es to go

I worked on the border to Black Gryhpon again.  I only have two more x-es to fill.  Then it will be time to fill in the background of the border.  Wheee.  Fun times.

I have this evening full of stuff, but I do hope to get at least some stitching time in tonight.  I would love to be done with the border sometime soon.  :)

quick no picture update

My weekend was super busy so I didn't do anymore stitching in Counting Magpies.  Those birds will just have to wait until next time I take that piece out.

I have moved back to my Scarlet Letter piece.  Such a little bit has been done that it isn't worth taking a photo.  Perhaps tomorrow.

There was quite the.... argument at The Kid's troop last night.  I am sad to say I was in it.  I lost my temper.  But, I am so fed up with the cliquish nature of that troop.  It starts with the parents and continues with the boys.  On top of the clique there was also some very obvious adult favoritism going on for certain boys.  This has led to the same boys being leaders in the troop for the last 18 months... and they were "elected" again for the next 6 months.  I am not sure if it is worth trying to stay.  So many boys have left that troop over the last year because of all of this.  Six more months of the same and I don't know how many boys will be left, other than from the one cliquish patrol and their cliquish parents.... who also are the committee.   Not to mention all of the betrayal The Kid is feeling from some of those same boy "leaders".  Sigh.

Now today we get to head to the high school and register The Kid for his fall classes.  Eep!  How is he ready to be going to high school already?!

I need some quiet stitching time to just de-stress.  I hope I find some today.

Even more SAL work

As both of the next parts were in my e-mail I decided to work on just SALs again last night.

First... I am now finished with part 7 for Let it Snow.

Part 8 is not yet out so this one will be put aside for a bit.

Then I worked more on Zoe.  Here it is with part 2.

Part 3 is already out for this one, so I will work on it again when I get part 3.

That is all I got done yesterday.  This weekend, if I have any time for stitching, I will be working on my Counting Magpies piece.  I can finally get to those magpies!

Happy Stitching!
