2014 goals.

Thought I'd make some goals for this coming year.

1. Finish Sarah Tatum
2. Start (on January 1) Maidens of the Seasons I & II... and finish them
3. Finish Thriller
4. knit myself a scarf
5. quilt my House Divided quilt top
6. Sew at least 12 more blocks on Farmer's Wife quilt
7. Work on things that make me happy.

I will still be doing the WIPocalypse posts. I really like doing those. It is nice to see what can get done over the passage of a month.

Mostly I want to enjoy my year. I think finishing more projects than I start and not buying much will make me happy. heh. :)

Happy New Year... may 2014 be full of stitching and empty of frogs.

final full moon of 2013

Can you believe it?! Another year has gone past. Crazy!

Here is my last WIPocalypse post for the year. I will be doing this again in 2014. I like seeing my monthly progress.... however little, or great, it may be.

If you wanna see my year long progress please look at the page tabs. :)

I didn't get all that much stitching in... I guess.

Here is where Fairy Moon was last lunar month

And here she is now..... all finished!

She was great to get finished. I am really happy with her.

I also started a Dr. Who scarf for The Guy. It is his own colourway.

It is on a slight hold while I get more yarn. This thing is bigger than you think. heh.

So, while I wait for that I got back to work on Sarah Tatum. Last time....

And now my small bit of progress on the next motif at the top.

It has been a great and productive year. I did the Crazy January 13 thing.... and finished it. I working on many things and even finished a few.  I hope next year is another great one!

Happy Stitching All!!!!

Still slowly knitting away

Doing updates of a scarf each day is... well... dull. So I stopped. heh. No worries. I am still plugging along knitting away at it.

I have to take a short break on it now as I ran out of a colour of yarn and am waiting for it to come in.

Since I am waiting I pulled out Sarah Tatum and started another motif on her.

I forgot how soothing the colours are on this one.

Hope every one is doing well and getting ready for the holidays, if that's your thing. :)

knit knit knit

Scarf update.  Slowly inching along.

Thought I'd show off my nailpolish as well. It's Tardis Blue! How appropriate, I thought.

Scarf

This is what I have been slowly working on. Also, this is all I plan on working on for a bit.... I may not be updating very often. heh

That's it so far.

Break out the music boys!

It's Dance Time!!!!

Oh, yes. I finished Fairy Moon last night.  Pinch me as it doesn't seem real.
Now for the photos.

The Full Fairy

Swirls

The Moon

The Skirt

More swirls.

The Wand

I am very glad to have her done. Feels good. The Kid things she is too blingy. heh.

Now, for my next crazy project. I am actually going to try to knit The Guy his own Dr. Who scarf. It is not in cannon colours. He picked these out. Wish me luck.

I see the moon

That moon really was a bit of a beast with those beads. Glad I had the warning! I did get it finished and a bit more as well.

After I finished that I scrolled down to get more beading in.

I am going to try to get all the scroll-y bits on the right side finished tonight.

There is the tiniest of possibilities that Fairy Moon may be finished before Thanksgiving. I am not going to hold my breath, but..... there is a glimmer of hope.

Reach the Moon

Well, I have at least started in on the moon.

Rather tired today. Can't think of much to say. Yeah... moon.

Have a great stitching weekend!

Been sick

So beading is slow.

Thanks for the heads up about the moon and petite beads. Sadly, I don't have the petite beads and I don't have an option right now of getting them. Guess I will just be prepared for a bit of a struggle with them. heh

I am loving the bead swirls. They are really fun.

The beads... so many beads

Started in on the beading last night.  This is going to take awhile. There are .... um..... a few beads.  heh

This one is going to be bling-tastic.

Full Moon yesterday

Which means it was a WIPocalypse update day. No way was I going to be on my computer on Sunday though. So... WIPocalypse Monday for you!

I only worked on one project so this will be a pretty quick update.

Fairy Moon. Ah, the lovely Fairy Moon.

Here is where she was at the beginning of the lunar month.

And here she is now.

Sorry for the less than stellar photos.

I am hoping she will be done before the next WIPocalypse update. Think I can do it? :)

white, off-white, beige, cream, greyish white, purpley white.....

Never ending shades of white later.....

The Never-Ending-White-Skirt-Of-Doom is DONE! done done done done done! whew.

I thought that thing was going to kill me....and I enjoy stitching HAEDs and Golden Kite projects. I think just getting the skirt done deserves a happy dance.

*dance*

and

*more dance*

Alrighty.  All that is left on this one is the half stitches, beads and random bits of sky confetti. Granted... that is quite a bit left. heh. Still, the damn skirt is done and there can be peace in the land once again.

Hope that all of you enjoy a wonderful stitch filled weekend.

wow, this week is flying by

I can't believe it is already Thursday! This week is going by so fast. I have had much to do and little time to do it in. That does mean little stitching as well.

First, my long weekend was wonderful. I was down in Portland. As always I had to go into Powell's Books. Oh, how I love that place. sigh. While there I had to check to see if my friend's just published book was on the shelf. It was!

Herm. Can't get that picture to not be sideways. Sigh.

I have gotten in a bit of stitching too. Just a bit as I said.

So close to being finished with the white in the dress. If I hadn't been so tired last night I would have powered through, but I was sleepy and the bed was calling to me loudly. Hopefully I will be able to finish that up tonight. I am starting to near the blingin-ing part of this piece. :)

Sorry the photos are so dark. Gotta love November in the PNW.

last post til next week

I was able to get a few more stitched into Fairy Moon last night.

Still slowly making progress.

Happy Stitching!

Just a tiny bit

of progress that is.  Tuesdays are a busy day, and a busy night. It doesn't leave much time for stitching. Still I got a touch in.

Tonight is my last night of stitching for the week. I am heading out with a friend for a long weekend. It is much needed. I am sure Fairy's skirt will wait for me.

Happy Stitching all.
I hope to post tonight's stitching progress tomorrow, but I may run out of time.

More never ending white

Thanks for the encouragement. I need it!

Maybe if I post here each day I will feel like I am making progress on this skirt.  It is worth a try. And right now I need all the help I can get.

Really, I promise there is some progress there.

Monday, November 04, 2013

wow

Last week seemed to have just flown by. I didn't post at all. oops.

I have been making slow progress on Fairy Moon's never-ending white skirt of doom.

I am very ready to be done with her skirt.

long weekend over

Sadly, I didn't get as much stitching in as I would have liked. At least some progress was made though.

The skirt keeps growing. At some point I may even see an end in sight for it.... but not today.

I have a sorta kinda hope to get Fairy Moon done before Thanksgiving. Wonder if I can do it.... herm? Back to more white stitching.

a touch of crochet

My friends keep having babies. heh.

I worked up these guys the other day.

Of course, I did too much crochet and now my elbow is killing me. I had been hoping to do a few more things so I can send them off to all the new babies. :)

Since I can't hold a hook any more I picked up a needle.

I hope to get a good chunk more done on her skirt this weekend. The Kid has tomorrow and Monday off work so we get to enjoy a longer than normal weekend. Which is very good as he also has a night hike and a climbing comp this weekend.

Happy Stitching all!

IHSW progress

Yesterday was way too busy. whew.
I did get some decent progress on Fairy Moon over this stitching weekend.

Her whole shawl is now finished and I did a little bit more skirt. So much more skirt to do.

WIPocalypse October edition

It is already time for another WIPocalypse post! Wow, this year is flying by. I did much better in the stitching part of my life this month too.

Here is Sarah Tatum as of last lunar month.

Here she is now. Sorry about all the wrinkles.

I also finished the last three Crazy January Starts I had.

First Witchy by The Primitive Needle

Then Flower Power December by Ewe and Eye and Friends

Then Delivering Needleworks by Homespun Elegance

I also got back to work on Fairy Moon. This is how she looked when I started up on her again.

And how she looks now. The top photo shows the colours much better.

All in all I am feeling pretty good about this past lunar month. :)

It is IHSW. I hope to get some more work done on that skirt.

A completion and a continuation

First, I finished off the last of my Crazy January starts.

That makes all 15 finished. I am glad I attempted doing it. I am even more glad that all those starts were finished in the same year! I don't know that I would do it again, but it was fun to do once. It was nice to get all those smalls started AND finished. :)

After that piece was finished I put Fairy Moon up on my stand. I started the big white skirt. I am thinking it might be less.... daunting that I thought it would be. heh. We will see.

I think I am going to have to touch up the stitching on her arm.... it is bothering me. I hope to get some more stitches into her today.

Hope everyone had a good weekend. :)

Friday, October 11, 2013

a bit more crazy

I finished up the Crazy Jan piece I was working on.

Just one more and I will be finished with all 15 of them. I will be working on the last one this weekend and I hope to finish it soon. Once I do finish it I think I am going to work on my poor neglected Fairy Moon.

At least until I can't stand her white skirt any longer. We'll have to see how much I can get done. heh

Happy Stitching!

exchange and progress

I had shown you the ABC exchange I sent a little bit ago. Today I get to show you the one I received.

Edgar sent me this. I just love it. The colour of the floss is wonderfully soothing and the buttons are so fun. I put it up on one of my bookshelves... it looks perfect.  :)

I worked a bit more on my Crazy January piece.

There is even a possibility that I might finish this one up tonight. At the very least I need to get those flowers to stop levitating.

Not much

At least not much in the way of stitching. I just can't seem to get healthy this fall and it is taking a tole on everything.

Slow progress is better than no progress.  :)

weekend stitching

I was able to stitch a bit this weekend.

I worked a little bit on Sarah Tatum.

I put it away after this photo. Just felt like working on something smaller.

And since I wanted smaller I thought heading back to my Crazy January pieces might be a good idea. I ended up finishing one.

Seemed like a good one to be working on during October. :)

Then I did a few more stitches into another Crazy January piece.

So, a somewhat successful stitching weekend.

Still getting over this illness though. It is kicking my butt.
