Blending Filament

There is a lot of blending filament on the first page of Blue Rose.  OK.  It says to use #4 braid, but I am doing this over one on 28 count, so I am using to plies of blending filament.

GAH!!!  I had forgotten how slow I stitch with it.  Damn stuff.  It will look good though, and that is all that keeps me going.  heh.  Good thing there is less blending filament on this one than I have seen on some others.  Shesh... I think I would have to poke my eyes out with my needle if there was too much more of it.

Sleep

Oh yes, the sleep did show up and claim all my stitching time.  I didn't even get one stitch in on Sunday!  Not one!  But, I did sleep and sleep and sleep.  I think I must have needed it.

Now Odds and Ends gets put away for a bit and I pull out my HAED SAL piece.  Hopefully I make enough progress on it this week that there is a reason to take a photo of it.

Time to see, now, just how much of part 7 I can get done on Sunday.  Wish me luck that it will be a good chunk.

insomnia for the win!

I couldn't sleep last night so I sat and stitched instead.  I finished up all of part 5 on Odds and Ends.  Took one day.  That won't be happening again.  Nope.  Sent the photo into the group and now I wait for the next part to be sent to me.  As part 10 just went out to people who are caught up, I still have a lot of work ahead of me.  sigh.  Still, I am finding this one a nice stitch.  I am not a pink person, but all I can see on this piece now is that giant pink motif.  ACK!  I hope adding more bits will help tame that one down.

I didn't get a bit of stitching done all weekend.  So sad!  I was busy, people were sick and poof.... the weekend just disapeared on me.  Today I switch projects and felt I'd show what little I had done on Crystal Ball.  Slowly making progress is better than not touching it at all!

This week I will be working on Odds and Ends.  I am on part 5, just printed it out.  We shall see how far I get.  I hope I can get in some decent stitching time so I can finish this part and at least start on the next.  We shall see.

As for the monthly stockings, I have no clue when I will get to finish-finishing them.  heh.  But, you can't finish something if you don't stitch it first, right?!  Well, that's my story and I am sticking with it.

More Stockings

Finished up the final two stocking for January.  Now I have gone back to work on Crystal Ball.  Who knows how much I will get done on this one before I feel the need to move on. 

These stockings are really fun to stitch.  I am choosing colours from my stash and trying to just match them up to the photos.  It's kinda a fun way to stitch.

A New Year, Updates, and Photos

The holidays are over so I hope I can now get back to my stitching and blogging.  We shall see. 

So far I have stitched everyday this month (yes, I know it is only the third, but... hey, little things count)  Grant you it isn't the first 15 days on my white whale, as I am not working on that one right now.   Oh, how quickly those plans fall apart. That said, I AM in fact working on things from my want to work on in 2011 list.  Now, for phots, the thing you all really come here for.


First.  My first finish of the year!  The first Blackbird Designs stocking for January, Auld Lang Syne. 

I am about halfway done with the second stocking and think I should have it finished up tonight.  Then I will work on the third.

Second. Here is my White Whale Project, Crystal Ball. This is the first 8 pages, of 20 I think. Sorry the picture is so crappy. wow. That really is a terrible one.  I think this will be what I work on next.  No clue if I will try to get another page done or not.

Third. Here is my update on Odds and Ends. This is part 4. I am so far behind on this SAL it isn't even funny, but here is to slowly catching up.  After my time on Crystal Ball I will go back to this one.  I may aim to get parts 5-7 done in the next round of working on this one.

No picture for the fouth update. I started my Blue Rose Fairy for the HAED SAL. As there are only around 50 stitches put in, and those grey on a grey fabric I thought I'd pass on attempting a picture for that one.  This will be last on my list this month.  Poor thing.
