I finished up the last 10 hours for this year. I was working on Coverlet Candle Mat from Scarlett House.
This is what it looked like before.
And then after the 10 hours.
Not too bad for ten hours. Though I had thought I would get a bit farther. Still. It is a good bit of progress.
I also finished up my Advent Scarf. It was a fun knit and a learned a lot.
Not the greatest photo, but I really haven't figured out how to take photos of knitting all that well. Let alone long knitting.
Getting all prepped for my January starts. All my craft time is for that at this point. Since Coverlet Candle Mat is still up that might be my January 1 start. Not that I have much time that day.
Happy New Year to everyone! May you all have a wonderfully stitch filled 2016.

Some stitching!
Advent scarf is at 70% finished. No photos as it kinda looks like crap. It needs some serious blocking. Lace and cables are like that.
I did get ten hours in on Forgiveness.
Here is was before. Two half alphabets.
Here it is now with the two full alphabets finished. This one is going to take awhile. heh
Now I get to move on to my next piece. I have pulled out Coverlet Candle Mat by The Scarlett House. I had just a tiny start on it before so hopefully there will be quite a change after ten hours.
I am also starting to make my plans for my January stitching. I have joined a group which is going to do new starts for each day of January and February. That is just a bit too much for me though. I think my brain would explode. I definitely have enough charts and such to do that. I just don't have the mental ability to have that much going on. So, my plan is to stitch on something different for all the days in January. Some will be WIPs and some will be new starts. Then those are the pieces that I will work on throughout the rest of the year in my rotation. I have already pulled out a bunch of things to work on. I may not work on each piece for very long on a given day. Sometimes I have only an hour to work on something. Still... it should be interesting. Some in this group have plans to start a new piece each day for a year........ that makes my brain hurt!

still here
I've been spending some serious time with my knitting. Trying to get late gifts ready. Not a minute has been spent on my needlework. That is sad.
I have finished two pairs of socks.
Then I started working on a mystery advent scarf. Each evening we are given the next 20 rows. It is all Estonian lace and cables. I am loving it. I have even learned how to do nupps. :)
I am sure the scarf will look much better once it has been blocked.

Half a girl
First I want to thank you all for the comments on my Quaker Diamonds finish. It looks even better in person! The colours are just warm and enjoyable.
I spent some time with Suzannah. I finally feel like she is making progress. That is always a wonderful feeling.
Before:
And now:
I changed the colour of the dots on her shirt. The called for colour was just a shade lighter than the shirt and was really impossible to see. I looked at the picture of the finished chart and as I like the lighter look I picked a lighter colour to use.
Next up is Forgiveness.

Ta-Da!
I have another finish!
When I started Quaker Diamonds I didn't think I would be able to finish it this round. After just a couple hours on it I realized I could, and would! With just one extra hour this round I give you Quaker Diamonds!
Last time.
The finish.
Now back to Suzannah. It is something else to go from 28 ct. to 40 ct. heh.

Another Friday and more progress
I worked on Forgiveness this last time. It was added this round.
As you can see I hadn't had much of a start on it. Really rather pathetic there.
After 10 hours I think it is looking a bit better.
This one is a bit of an odd one. The colours I am using don't look at all like the colours in the photograph. I know that happens, but when the difference is so great it can be a bit of a bother. After all many times I buy something based on its cover photo. Ah well, I still like the design and the colours aren't bad.
Next up I head back to Quaker Diamonds.
I have also finished two more squares for my geek blanket.
Tolkien Glyph.
Caffeine Molecule.

Half a face
Thanks for the comments on my finish. It feels really good to get another finish in this year.
Spent my last 10 hours on Suzannah. This one just seems to move slowly. Not really sure why, but each time I work on it I don't feel like I am making all that much progress. At least not as much progress as I think I should be making. Ah, well.... there is progress and that is all that counts.
Here is where I was last time.
And here is where I am now. I do really kinda love her hair.
I get to move on to a "new" piece. I am planning on adding Forgiveness by Examplar Dames to my rotation.

Another finish!
Spent the last bit working on Jenny Bean's Halloween Sampler. I went a bit over my 10 hours. No reason to stop with just a touch over an hour to go for a finish. :)
Here is where she was last time.
Here she is all finished!

Apologies for the not so great photo. It is the grey time of year here.

Wet Weekend
The wet weekend, and a partly empty house, made for much stitching. I have finished my turn on Quaker Diamonds. I enjoy stitching on this one. I think it is the colours.
Here is where it was before.
Here it is now.
Now I will move onto Jenny Bean's Halloween Sampler. How great is that! I will most likely be stitching on her on Halloween.

uninspired post title.
I was doing a bit of knitting this past while. I made a pair of socks, but didn't take a photo. I made half a pair of socks, still didn't take a photo. I started a geek blanket. Finished the first square.
Aperture Science
This past rotation was spent on Suzannah. Here is where she was.....
And here is where she is now. More than just a few lines of border. Much more interesting. heh.
Next I will be heading back to Quaker Diamonds. Most likely there will be another geek square as well.
I have been enjoying this rotation of mine. I think I have found something that works for me.... at least for now. The ten hour thing makes me feel like I am making progress on the piece; the four projects gives me a bit of variety without being so varied I feel I am no longer making progress on pieces!
It is nice to hear others enjoying the Halloween Sampler... that was a difficult one to move on from as I was enjoying working on it so much.

Spooky!
OK. Not so very spooky but progress on Jenny Bean's Halloween Sampler.
Here is where she was last time.
And where she is now.
I am very much enjoying this one. I got a bit farther than I had expected this round.
Thanks all for the comments on my last progress and finish. Always nice to see that others enjoy my hobby. heh I, like many others, don't get that at home. :P
Now back to Suzannah. This round should be more interesting than the last one. Simple line borders are very dull to stitch. heh

Beach Cottage is a go!
If I had known I had less than 5 hours left on this one.... heh. Well, that's about all I had. A bit less even.
Beach Cottage!
Herm..... Sorry for the sideways photo.
Now on to Jenny Bean's Halloween Sampler. How nice for October.

sick
I was sick for the whole weekend, still am in fact. Amazing how that has lead to a lot more stitching time. Finished up my 10 hours on Quaker Diamonds. Had hoped I could finish that diamond, but it was not to be.
Before.
After.

That took a bit
Amazing how vacation, going back to a regular schedule, and knitting a pair of socks makes my 10 hours take so much longer. heh
Again, this is where I started.
And here is where I stopped after 10 hours. Again, my border met up. And it isn't all wonky like in the photo, that's just my poor Q-Snap skills.
Suzannah by Carriage House Samplings
I will be moving back to Quaker Diamonds now.

vacation
Been on vacation for the past week and both weekends. Not a stitch has been stitched. Also, back to my regular weeks now. This 10 hours is going to take awhile.

border meets up!
I know I am not the only one that gets excited when that happens. *happy dance*
Jenny is starting to look like something now.
Now onto Suzannah by Carriage House Samplings. Not much of anything to look at yet. This next one will take awhile. I am going away for a week, but won't be taking this to work on.

Beach-y
Finished up my hours on Beach Cottage. Had a bit of a frog due to some miscounting. All fixed now. I might even be able to finish this one next time it comes up.
Before.
After. I really love the whale weather-vane.
Now I move onto Jenny Bean's Halloween Sampler.

and 10 hours
Well, as you might be able to tell I am on a break from my normal routine right now. That made me able to do a bit more stitching than normal. :)
So, Quaker Diamonds 10 hours ago.
And now. Everything on the left from the letter "Z" down is also new. Not too shabby. I am really enjoying the colours on this one. They feel very fall.
Now onto my next project. Beach Cottage. Not much on it so far.
It was kinda exciting to have comments after so long away!

cough cough
Bit dusty up in here. Think I am going to try this whole crafty blog thing again. I miss seeing my progress.
I just started a new rotation with my stitching.... mainly to see if I can get myself back into the habit of stitching. (I've been off on my new love affair with knitting) I miss my stitching though. So... here it goes.
I have pulled out four projects. Each one will get 10 hours before I move onto the next one. When one is finished I pull out another project. At the beginning of this year I started 31 new things in January. Super Crazy! Of those I have finished 14. Not terrible. It is from this pile that I will be pulling my projects.
Here is my place with Quaker Diamonds now.
Who knows how it will look with 10 more hours on it!??!!?!
