Another finish

I finished up another of the crazy January pieces.

This one was from Blackbird Designs.  Keepsake Box and pinkeep.  I haven't stitched the pinkeep.  heh.

I rather liked this one.  The red flowers are awesome.  You stitch one for the pinkeep too.  The red colour used in the basket, and the flowers, is just beautiful.  I just make have to stitch something using just that colour.

I will move on to another crazy January piece and when I finish it I will see about going back to Appil.  :)

Think it is just Appil

I am guessing I just need a short break from Appil.   I pulled out another Crazy January piece and had no problem working on it yesterday.

I am almost at another finish too.

Guess I will put Appil aside for the rest of the week and see how I feel then.

Is it a slump?

As I said yesterday I packed away Appil as I just wasn't wanting to work on her.

I pulled out one of my Crazy January pieces to work on instead.  There wasn't much left on it.

And now it is finished.  I still don't know if I am in a slump or not.... there wasn't much left on this one.  So, I will pull out another and see if I want to work on it.  heh

Some progress

First.  I have had a question or two on what fabric I am using on Appil.  It is just 40 ct. Newcastle in Ant. White.  It is my go to for white fabric most of the time.


Next, here is my progress from over the weekend.

Not much.  I did finish that one cloud and made a tiny start on the next one.  I just haven't been wanting to stitch.

So... I have put Appil away.  I don't know if I have just hit a normal slump or if I just don't want to to work on this piece.  I'll pull something else out, I guess, and see which it is.

WIPocalypse May edition

Wow, can you believe another lunar month is over?  Eek.

This has been a rather busy month for me.

I did finish another of the Sticklounge pieces.  Zoe Sampler

Here is where is was last time.

And here it is finished.

Then I started a new piece for the Scarlet Letter Year thing I am doing.

I started And All was for an Appil.

This is far as it has gotten.  All of the outlining is finished.  Now I get to colour it all in.

Not too exciting here I guess.  Life has been very busy.

Insomnia

Instead of spending much of the night looking at the ceiling in the bedroom and wishing I were asleep I stayed up for a bit with my needle and thread.

Alien Adam now has a partner.... Igor Eve.

I know they will look better with hair.... and colour, but right now they are creepy.  heh

Speaking of colour..... that is what I get to move onto now.  All of the outlining is done.

Now it really will be like a giant colouring book.  :)

Another one bites the dust

Another page of outlining that is.

Now to slowly move more into page four.  Not too horrible much more to do before I finally start getting into the colour.  I can't wait for that.

Also, I am glad to know I am not the only one that finds Adam creepy.  I have to cover my stitching when I am not working on it because of him!  heh

Made a bit more progress on Appil.  Finished outlining Adam.

Starting to wonder if I should have done is face.  EEK!  Now the alien is just looking at me while I stitch.  Creepy!

I wonder if this will make me stitch faster or not work on this at all.... And then there is Eve... her face is just as strange.  heh

Life has been busy

But I have been eeking out some stitching time anyway.

There are a ton of things I really want to start right now too.  But, I am being good.... I will only start one of them.... very soon.  heh

Busy weekend

Instead of doing any stitching this weekend I had life invade and take over.  So busy.  Ugh.  Next weekend is looking the same.

So.... I didn't finish page two until last night.  Now I have made a tiny start on page three as well.

At least this means I am half done with the outlining.

And....

I bit more.  If my weekend wasn't going to be as crazy as I know it is going to be I would think page two was more or less a done deal.  However, my weekend is full of crazy.  Super crazy.  ugh.  Life could really try slowing down for a bit. I know I would be super happy about it. sigh

So... pictures.

I have made it across the entire top.  So there is that.  Soon I get to outline the moon and stars.

Lots of lines.  It will feel really great when I get all the outlining done and can move onto the colours.

That will be a bit of a while still.

Still... more progress on page two.  I pretty much have the majority of the top half of the tree done now.  As you can see I am working on the snake.  Two of the symbols are really hard to tell apart on my chart so I have to really look hard and check it against the cover photo.  At least once I get the black filled I won't have to worry about that any longer.

I hope to get page two finished before the end of the weekend.  Wish me luck.

A page

At least one page of the outlining.  Also, one skein of black thread.  heh.

I am moving onto page two of the outlining now.  There is just a touch of it in the photo.

It looks so funky without any of the colour.

Lots of life stuff going on right now too.  ugh.

Gotta keep stitching to keep my sanity.

AAAAHHHHHH!

Crazy Weekend was Crazy.  I was out the door and running around starting Friday at noon.... and never really stopped until around 10 last night.

Needless to say not a stitch got stitched.  Hopefully I can get back to my Appil piece today.  I am craving some down time with my stitching.

Hope all of you had great weekends that hopefully had lots of nice time for stitching.  :)

The Sun

Not only is the sun out today.  Wow, we are having some beautiful weather... but I also the sun is out in my Appil piece.

OK.... so there is no colour... and there won't be for awhile.  The sun is all outlined though.  With all his displeasure.  I really do love this sun for some reason.  So much character.  The moon as well.  I will get to her at some point.

A new Start

I commented yesterday how I was busy buying things again.  Silly girl.  Well, I guess I felt I should start something new what will all the new projects.

This one I have had around for a bit.

Since I am doing the whole Scarlet Letter Year I figured I might as well start another one from there.  Here is it all prepped.  And All was for an Appil.

And here is my start.

I plan to do all the black outlining first.  Then I can just treat it like an overgrown colouring page.  :)  Even on 40 count this is not that small.  Herm... Maybe I should have done it over one.  Ah well.  :)

Slow progress

I've been busy doing things other than stitching.  I've been out playing in my yard.... it needs some serious work.  I have also been working on a quilt top.  There is a lot of fussy cutting that needs to go on with it right now.  Then I have also been sucked into some games.  Oh, they are such amazing time-wasters.
When I have been stitching it had been on a Crazy January piece, but now it is on hold until I get more thread.  Curses!  So, I finally moved onto one of my SAL pieces.  And, gasp of all gasps.... I finished it!

Feels good to have that one finished.  If I ever get the next part for Let it Snow I will be finishing that one too.  Then no more Sticklounge.  Kinda sad about that.  However, I still have plenty of things to keep me busy.  No worries about running out of projects over here.  No way!  Even worse since I have been buying things again.  I really need to stop that.  heh.
