a little more

I did a bit more knitting on the baby blanket.  Sadly, I did something to my thumb. Not sure what I am doing to my poor thumb while knitting but it hurts so I am giving it a day off.

It really don't feel like I have done much. And I need to get this finished soon. Sigh.

While I take today off from knitting I will work on an exchange.

The Kid starts high school tomorrow.  Eek. I am not ready.

Baby blanket

I think I have finally figured out what I was doing wrong on the knitting.  Since it is something I really never do I have to reteach myself every time.

So far... this is how much blanket I have done.

It's a simple pattern... I just had the hardest time counting to three... heh

Also, looking like I really need to get cracking on this.  Babies don't wait.

Tossing

I am tossing the baby sampler piece. I just hated working on it so much. I am not sure what was so terrible about it, just that I hated working on it. So... my stitching time is way to important to work on things I hate.

I pulled out some yarn and such and now plan to knit up a baby blanket. Right now, my new name is Penelope.  sigh

Hopefully I get this figured out so I can get it finished. I have cross stitch calling to me.

WIPocalypse # something or another

Yes, it is another full moon which means another WIPocalypse.

I was on vacation for a bit this past month so pulled out an old piece.

Peacock Pincushion.... this is what it looked like the last time I worked on it.

Yes, I finished up all the stitching on it.  Now it goes in my giant pile of ohgodIneedtofinishallthesethings.

I also stitching something for an exchange.

Then I started a new piece.  I have a few baby samplers I need to get working on.

This is the Beatrix Potter one.

Not much done on it so far.  I really need to get cracking on it too!


So... another month with more progress. Who knows how this next lunar month will go.  The Kid is going to be staring high school next week and I don't really know what that is going to do to our schedules.

I signed up for an exchange.  Prairie Schooler ornaments.  I have received mine.... the one I made is getting mailed out today.

I also have spent some time, very little so far, working on the first of two birth announcements I need to finish this year.

So far I have a blob.

I need to really get working on this.  Birth announcements have those deadline things.

First, thank you for all the wonderful comments on my Appil finish.  blush.

I have finished the exchange piece I was working on.  I will be mailing it off next week.... a bit early but I won't be around during the actually mail date.

So, after that I pulled out a piece I Need to work on.  I have a few friends who are having kids this year.  I haven't yet worked on birth announcements for them!  EEP!  Time is getting short.
