A finish and a beginning

So, I finished my CDC. Yippie! I loved working with the HDF. So easy. And the Dragon Hoard colour just looks wonderful against the black. It makes me think of those Ukranian dyed eggs.



Also, I am going to start a project that gets a daily strand put into it. I am going to work on HOHRH for this. Here is where it stands now. I'll post pictures when there is any real progess.

GASP!!!!!

People were showing off all their stash.... I talked myself into posting pictures of mine. AND I DID!!!! I am officially scared of how much I have! Thought I would also post my shame here.

I caved....

I just bought A Lady's Cabinet. gulp. The finishing on that scares me to pieces. I keep getting assured that I will be able to do it. That the instructions are made easy. But, eeep.... I am a bit scared about it.

This also means that I will have 1 new start before the end of the year. I don't want to get behind on this. So, will start it when I get it, and try and keep up as the parts come out. I think I will keep with the deer design, I know she is making a different one for those who don't care for deer. But, I may stick with the first, but may do the "new" design for the top. The sides/surround look like a panorama picture to me, sorta. It all depends on how the "new" design turns out.

Right now I really really want to buy The Lady's Cabinet by Judy O'Dell. But... I just don't know if I could do it. I have reasons to not try.

A WIP

Here is CDC as is now stands after the last weekend. It is stiched with Dragon Hoard (HDF) on 32 ct black.

Got sucked into a movie last night... and a friend came over so no stitching got done. I will need to work on CDC today and save Fiona for the weekend. Ah well. It was fun last night.

More French Flower Shop

I am about halfway done now with this one. I am doing the backstitching as I go. I just hate leaving it all til last.

Today I am going to spend some time with CDC (is it just me or does anyone else giggle at that abbreviation). I need something laid back to work on today. Too sleepy.

Then it will be back to Fiona and trying to finish page 3.

those things I need to do

I have been pulling out a lot of my old old old UFOs to see what I should stitch. I am now working on French Flower Shop again. It has been years. I am not used to working on Aida anymore, and the needle feels like I am stitching with a giant log! But, I would like to get it finished. Here is what it looks like before starting it up again.



I really thought I had more than this finished. But, I am not quite halfway done. Ah, well. It is getting worked on again.

In going through my old UFOs I found one that has gotten terribly stained. And nothing can be done to fix it so I need to toss it. Ouch. It was a mostly finished BAP too. Just goes to show I need to get all my old UFOs back into a rotation and get them finished.

I did finish page 2 of Fiona last night. Does it count as before getting page 4 as I didn't open my e-mail to find that page til this morning? heh

But, the page is done. Now on to French Flower Shop for about 5 days stitching before I go to page 3.

Fiona...and other things

I have been working on her for a bit now. And I am hoping to get the second page done by this weekend. Just in time for page 4 to come out! I'll post a picture of her with the 2nd page done.

I have signed up for the "By the Sea" exchange on HOE. I already have thoughts and plans of what I might like to do for that one.

I have also signed up for another whirl on a UFO RR. Today I go to the post office to mail off the last one for this trip. I really feel bad about this one. I didn't get all that much done on it as most of the work I put in a tore right back out. I think there was one section I ripped out... 4 or 5 times. So there really isn't much more done on it than when I got it... and drat that makes me feel terrible. But, I was having the damnedest time stitching it! I don't know... TW borders and I must just not get along. Hopefully with this next round I won't have a lame duck sending of my stitching.
