One more side

Glad to know I am not the only one who things blue and grey makes for good winter stitching.  :)

Got one more side stitched on the motif.  Sadly, I am now coming down with a killer cold.  This means I will either stitch tons, or not at all.  Sigh.  Stay tuned to find out which one it will be.

Feeling Blue

or at least stitching lots of it.  The colour seems to work well with the overcast rainy days.  Or perhaps it is the stitching on grey linen?  Either way I am finding this piece to be a perfect winter stitching project.

Feeling pretty good about my start on this motif.  Love stitching with these silks too.

Really.  Reading the comments on my last post always help too.  :)

I just took a week off for a bit of a holiday.  One where I took no stitching with me.  Gasp!  Then when I got home I had a sick kid to take care of for a bit.  His cold is still kicking his butt.  I am crossing my fingers that I don't catch it.

Paradigm Lost is getting some stitching time now though.  I moved the Q-Snaps last night so took a full photo.

I am hoping to have the next motif finished by the end of this weekend.  Wish me lots of luck!

A weekend of stitching

Thanks for all the comments on my WIPocalypse post.  They made me smile.

That was one huge motif.  It isn't the only huge one on the piece either.  heh.  Good thing I am loving this colour.  

I got to stitch the dragonfly too.  :)  Now to move the Q-Snap over and start another motif.  Each one feels like a little happy dance.

WIPocalypse 2012 update #2 February Edition.

Yes, here we are already on to the second WIPocalypse update.  I hope everyone has been getting some stitching time.  Last month it took me most of the month to look through all the updates everyone put up.  I imagine the same will be true this month.  So many pretty things.

Now for my February Update.  I only worked on two piece this past month.

First.  My poor neglected Owl.

Here is where he was at the start of the lunar month.

Here he was at the end of the lunar month.  I left him with not even one whole wing stitched!  Poor guy.  I don't even know if I will get back to him in the next while either.  Poor wingless Owl.

The other piece I worked on has been Paradigm Lost.  This has been seeing all my stitching time.

Here I am at the end of the lunar month.  A close call on one edge!  Also, the boarders match up!  Minor little happy dance shimmy for that happening.  But, look at all that empty space!  Yes, I did put the year on this one.  I never do that til the end, but there it is.  Guess I will need to keep going on this one so that the year isn't a lie.

Not too bad for this update.  Really not bad when I didn't stitch for at over a week due to my fall.

an inch and inch by inch

First, thank you for the kind comments on my PL.  :)

When I took this off the Q-Snaps I took a photo of how close to the edge my stitching is on this fabric.

Quite close.  Way to close for my comfort.  Next time, I remember to measure ALL the fabric and make sure it is cut even.

I worked bit by bit over toward the right side this weekend.  Got a bit farther than I thought I would.  Today I will just show a photo of where the Q-Snaps are now.  Tomorrow is the second WIPocalypse post and I will show the whole piece then.

no thoughts for a title.

I did get the motif finished last night.  I have been finding this chart interesting.  The cover picture isn't the exact same as the chart.  There are little added bits on letters and in some of the motifs.  This one was the most noticeable.  Kinda strange.  It won't change the overall look of the entire piece, but there are many differences.  I have to say, I like the chart more!

Today and tonight are both very busy.  I am not sure how much, if any, stitching will be done.  Over the weekend I will be working on this piece.  I am planning to keep moving over to the right boarder.  I don't think I will make it all the way over, but I plan on inching my way there stitch by stitch.  Then to stitch down the right boarder... and hope hope hope they all meet.

Not quite there

Thanks for the comments on PL.  This colour is a nice one to work with.

I did not get nearly as much stitching time last night as I thought I would.  I did get stitching time though, and right now that is all that really matters.  I so miss my stitching when I cannot be doing it.

Perhaps I will be able to get this motif done tonight?  I have no clue.

Also, I didn't make any January Goals!   Oh noes!  I shall make some for February.

February Goals.

1. Work on Paradigm Lost
2. Post for WIPocalype update
3.  .....

hmmm.  Not too many goals there.  I do not even get to put 'stitch during IHSW' on, as I will be out of town and nowhere near my stitching.  That means two months of missing IHSW.  I sure hope I will be do better in March.
