I am now nearing in on a finish for Spring as I won't be doing beads until I have all the Maidens done.
Still feels good to be working on this one. Will I be able to start Summer before May begins?

A good weekends worth
of stitching. I spent much of Sunday stitching. Ah, the joys of a lazy day.
I hope to get the last bits of flowers stitched up tonight.

found a little bit of time
Things worked out so I did have a bit of time to stitch last night. Any progress is good progress. :)
Not sure how my weekend is going to pan out. I am hoping to get some decent stitching time. I am glad that my mojo for this piece has returned, but now I just want to stitch on it and not do anything else! Silly life getting in the way of my stitching.

A decent night
I had a nice bit of time to stitch last night. This Maiden might get finished sometime!
I won't have much, if any, stitching time tonight. But, who knows, maybe I will surprise myself.

weekend over
I did knit. I even knit a bit. I have to take lot of breaks knitting or I mess up my wrist. I still only got about halfway through the first colour for my stole. This one is going to be a lot of knitting!
Then I realized I had a desire to work on Spring Maiden again. I pulled that baby out super fast before that impulse could fade. I did an alright amount. :) Kinda hard to see some of it. The green shows up fine in real life but seems to be a bit lost on the photo.
You might have noticed you can see all of the Maiden here. :) I put some extenders on the sides of my Q-Snap which means I now have the entire Maiden showing. I like it, at least I like how it looks, hopefully I like how it stitches too. The bottom is easy enough, but the top for the next Maiden might get tricky.

IHSW
Yup... it's that time of month again. I am not sure how much hermiting I will have this weekend. I know I am going to be doing some travel and family things on Sunday, no clue about the rest of the weekend. Also, it is a slightly longer weekend with The Kid not having school on Monday.
My plans are to knit on my stole. Not quite stitching. herm. Guess this will be IHKW for me.
This is as far as I am right now.
If I am very lucky and very knitty I will finish this colour stripe on the stole.
I hope everyone enjoys their weekend. :)

April WIPocalypse a few days late
My allergies have been brutal this year. Makes doing anything feel like too much effort.
This months topic is... how do you keep your stash organized.
Easy answer... I don't really. sigh. heh. I keep my DMC threads on bobbins and then in boxes. Extra skeins are kept in ziploc baggies. Other theads are stored by maker, and then ABC or number (depends on the dyer), I put them on large rings and store them in a cabinet with small drawers.
Projects I am working on are put in mesh bags and stored in baskets. Ones I have kitted and hope to start soon are stored in bags and then put in baskets. Things that I have no clue when I will get to are stored in big bins that are put away in the closet. All my fabrics are stored folded up in an old dresser. If all I have is the chart.... that is put in a sleeve and then stored in a 3-ring binder which is then put on a shelf of a bookshelf.
Yes I have way too much kitted, sorted, ready to go. I could not buy another chart for the rest of my life and I would still never run out of things to do.
And that is just my cross stitch... don't ask about my quilting... knitting.... etc.
As for my progress over the past month.... not as good as I would have liked but then it really rarely is.
In March the only update I had was for my Spring maiden. This is what she looked like then.
This is all the progress she has had now.
Not that much stitching... and now I have placed this one to the side as it has been feeling too "big" to work on.
I moved onto some smalls.
First I pulled out A Colonial Pocket stitched that up and finished it.
Then I pulled out Strawberry House and finished that one up too.
I felt I was really on a roll by this time. So I pulled out Shepherd's Bush's new Fold piece.
That is as far as I got before I ran out of the green thread for the hill. This renewed my hatred of kits. I am left wondering if they gave me enough of the other green thread for the second part of the hill. It made me mad so I put this away for now.... I have to decide if I am going to buy more thread or try to get Shepherd's Bush to send me more for this piece. I haven't had much luck in doing that in the past. Nor do they make it easy to contact them. Really is it that hard to have an email address?! Grumble.
So, now I am working on knitting a stole. No photo of that yet, as the beginning of knitting always looks a bit lame.
What will be up with my crafting for the next lunar month? Not even I can tell.
Hopefully the month has been super productive for others. :)
Happy Stitching All!

Productive weekend
Not only did I finish something.... I finish/finished things as well! Shocking.
Here is A Colonial Pocket all finished up.
And here is Strawberry House and the scissor fob all finished up as well.
After that I got started on Shepherd's Fold.
Pretty decent start. I hope to get more done on it this week. Really hoping this will fit on the box I bought for it. I didn't buy the really expensive box it was designed for, I instead went with buying and painting a paper mache one, so I am hoping I got the correct size.
I hope everyone had a good stitching weekend. :)

putting spring aside
Life things are a bit overwhelming right now and looking at my lack of progress on my Maidens was not helping. As this is my hobby I want to enjoy it, not feel guilty.... so I am putting the maidens aside for a time.
I pulled out Plum Street Samplers piece A Colonial Candle Pocket. Three colours, so that made things nice and simple.
All I need to do now is... turn it into a pocket. :)
I started The Scarlet House's Strawberry House piece over the weekend.
Not all that much to see quite yet.
Both of those are from the club Colonial Gatherings Club from the store Dyeing to Stitch. They even send the materials you need to finish these little projects..... so hopefully I will be doing that... perhaps even soon!
I also got the first part of Shepherd's Bush's Shepherd's Fold project.
I have plans to start in on that after Strawberry House is done. I guess I am just needing some smalls to work on.
