Yes, this is the month with two WIPocalypse posts. Two! I can't believe we are nearing the end of the year. Just a few more of these posts and bye-bye year. Yikes.
This past month the only thing I worked on was Crystal Ball.
Here is my before for the month.
Now here is where I am now. I even took a full photo for this one!
I have reached the bottom of the piece! Just a little bit left to go. Since I am moving internationally at the beginning of Sept. I am not sure how much will get done next month, but I will try for a finish. Can't believe I am this close to a finish on this one after soooo long.
Happy Stitching!

Bit by bit
Answering a question:
The way I stitch is called "parking". I am sure you can Google it. But, I will try to give a quicky explanation. When I am using a thread and when I have no more stitches with it on that line (I stitch line by line) then I bring it up in the next spot it will be used. So, I "park" that thread in the space I will be using it to stitch with next. I don't mix up the colours because the threads are put where they will be next needed. When I come to a spot that has a parked thread I just use that thread. Maybe not the clearest explanation. I find it the easiest way to stitch solid stitched projects.
I inched my way down another 10 lines. I can't wait to get to the bottom of her skirt! I keep thinking I must be close, but no. More and more stitching. I swear this lady had the longest legs ever.

A little more
Yup. I can keep going on my piece. That feels really great. I have been really loving working on this one and am glad I didn't have to pack it away.
Did another 10 lines yesterday.
I will be trying for another 10 lines today, but I am not sure if I will pull that off. It take so much longer to stitch this way! heh.

Whew
The movers did show up yesterday. After a few mis-steps. But, they came so that is good. Now I am standless. pout.
But!
I still have my Q-Snaps! I just stitch a bit slower with them. Oh, how I miss two handed stitching.

Take 2
Those movers who were supposed to come and move our stuff Friday? Yeah, they didn't show up. So, that added tons of stress to my weekend. They "should" be coming today. I can only hope. sigh.
On the plus side, that meant I had my stand for one more weekend. With the added stress, the fact I was done packing, and I super rainy Sunday I made a big push on Crystal Ball. I finished another page. This one had so very much confetti stitching in it. Oh my god. It was crazy making. You would never believe me if I told you just how many colours are in that floor. And if you ask, there is no way I am going to go back and count! Just trust me .... so many colours. So very many.
Sorry for another blur-tastic photo. I finished this up at midnight and wanted to take a quick photo, then had to take my stand down again. Maybe my next update will be less blurry.
Also, that is the bottom of the piece! Oh yes!

Title
Again, another day where I can't think of a title.
Thanks for all the well-wishes on my coming move. They are much appreciated. I have been missing my stash that I left there. :) Though, having it packed up has helped me stay on track with finishing pieces this year. I may have to keep that in mind.
Again, just a little bit stitched last night.
Sorry for the slightly blurry photos lately. My camera and I an in the middle of an argument which it is winning.

Gulp!
Love reading the comments. Thanks.
Movers are coming Friday, yes I have mentioned that, but that is the day after tomorrow! Yikes! I am almost ready for them. I think. Good thing I still have time.
I did stitch a bit more last night. Oh how I love stitching for stress relief.
Best get back to move prepping.

slow
Thanks for the comments. I will be moving back home to the states. It will be good to be back home. I won't have to think so much when I talk!!!!
I mentioned that my stitching would really slow down. How is this for proof.
See, the next page has been started. Really it has. Ah well, I did some decent packing. Need to get back to it now.
Happy Stitching!

This week ends .....
the super speedy fast stitching I have been doing. I am moving internationally in early September. The movers are coming THIS Friday. I use stitching as my stress relief, so there will still be stitching getting done, but it will be much slower as I have so much to get done before Friday. Then after Friday I will no longer have my stand! Oh golly, how will I be able to stitch?! :P In preparation for all this lack of time I stitched my little (I wish) butt of this past weekend. It didn't hurt that I had the "excuse" of IHSW, or that it was blazing hot. It still is blazing hot, but the movers will show up no matter what so things must get done.
See, I finished another page! So darn skippy! Now I move onto the last four pages of the chart. I really can't believe how much I have gotten done since I started working on this piece again. Could I possibly even finish it this year? Gasp! I know my stitching time will shrink dramatically with the move, and after the move so I can only hope. And try.

Starting a new page
First. The Flower Carpet is in the Grand Place in Brussels, Belgium. They do this every other year and each time it is a different design. Kinda nifty.
Second. Moved on to page 16 last night. I am half hoping I will be able to finish this page this weekend. It is IHSW, so in theory I should be sitting my butt down and stitching lots. Not to sure if that will be what happens, but one can always hope.
I do know I won't be doing too much today. I am sitting around with mud on my head and it is horribly hot. I am not going anywhere! Maybe that means I can tear myself away from the computer and get some good stitching on. Oh yeah.
Happy Stitching all!

Stayed up way too late
I just kept stitching and stitching yesterday. I was in a groove and wouldn't stop. I ended up staying up super late and now I am groggy. Oh, but the stitching was so soothing and calm last night. Ah well.
I finished page 15 last night. Ever since I picked this one up again I have just been flying on it. I hope this continues until I get it finished. It is so great to be making progress on this piece again after neglecting it for so long.
I did run out for a bit yesterday as well. Tried to get a photo of the Flower Carpet in the Grand Place, but I just couldn't fly to get a picture from above. :P
Here are a few from the side photos.

Stitching and a bit of Ireland
Thanks for the comments on my piece. I do so love to read them.
As I had said I went to Ireland over the weekend. What a beautiful place.
Such an amazing place. There is no way to get that green into photos though. It was a really shocking green. heh
I should give a quick update of Crystal Ball as well.
Working in an area with the decoration on the skirt. Makes for lots and lots of threads.

Slowing Down
I am stitching a bit slower this week as right now we are prepping for a long weekend trip to Ireland. I have never been there before so I am really really looking forward to this trip. That does mean less time for relaxing stitching. But, for such a great thing I can't really mind.
Here is my progress from last night.
I probably won't post again until after I get back.
Enjoy the weekend and Happy Stitching.

new pages
They are always such a slow start. I mean, it makes sense. What will all the colours, but wow are they slow. But, it is all those colours that make these projects look so amazing.
You can see over on the right that I am "just" getting to the cushion on the chair. Most of it is on the next page. And it isn't that big of a cushion. heh I can't wait to get to all the decoration on the bottom of the skirt. The last page had one part, but this page should have the rest of it. It is really coming along. I am kinda shocked at how much I have been getting done. I better not think about it too much or I will curse myself, or somesuch.

And another one gone
Yes, another page down! As I have said before, it really is amazing what can happen when you actually stitch on a piece. You make progress. Shocking. :P
One of these days I may take a photo that is straight. Really. sigh.
I just love the shading in this piece. Anytime I see it from a distance I am just amazed.
Happy Stitching all.

...
Some days I just have no clue what to put as a title. None at all.
Thanks for all the encouraging stitching comments. I think they must have worked as I stitched up a storm this weekend. I even got other things done as well, not just sitting and stitching. Though, that would have been my preference. Sadly, things must be done.
Nearing another page done. I am feeling really good about the progress I have been making on this piece. Looks like today could be and either/or day for stitching. As much as I am enjoying this one, and really wanting to keep moving on it. I have noticed the beginnings of a new start itch. As I am doing an international move at the beginning of Sept. I am going to hold off on that desire. Odds are good it will be held off for awhile. New starts and moving just don't play well together. I do hope that I am able to keep on stitching on Crystal Ball during all this moving. Too much time without stitching and I get grumpy.

slow night
I had a hard time focusing on my stitching last night. Just could't get into a good rhythm. I stuck it out for a bit and made some progress.
I hope my stitching goes more smoothly tonight and through the weekend. I want to stitch!

In the dark of the night
and the dark of the page.
First, I want to thank you all for your fantastic comments on my WIPocalypse post. I do so love reading them.
Now, on to that darkness bit. I was stitching away last night, on my background page, and realized I was kinda close to finishing that page. Once I thought of it I just couldn't stop stitching until I was done. It was a bit farther away than I thought it was. YAWN! I am so tired now, but that page did get finished.
With this next page I get to move on back to her dress. That is a bit more interesting to stitch than just the background. I think I will be able to finish up one of her long sleeves this page.

WIPocalypse the 8th, August edition
Here I am with the first of my August reports. Ah yes, two full moons in August. Busy month. :)
All in all I had a really decently productive month. Feels good. I worked on three different projects this past month.
Project the first. Three Things Sampler
How it looked at the last update.
And how it looks now.
Yes, I finished it. That happened on July 12. It felt really good to get this one done.
Project the second was The Great Escape.
This is how it looked last time it was seen.
And how it looks now.
Yes. Another finish! I completed this guy on July 13. I only had two parts to go, so it was pretty easy to get this one into the finish pile.
So, with two more finishes under my belt I decided to choose a piece that won't be finished for ages and ages. snerk.
Project the third.
I went back to Crystal Ball (by Golden Kite). I had not yet worked on this one this year. So this is what it looked like back at the beginning of all of this WIPocalypse stitching.
And how it looks now. I was too lazy to unroll it for the photo. Heck, I may not do that again until I have to get my stand packed for moving.
It really felt like a great stitching month. I am hoping this month will be the same. :)
