Beyond my Heart

Here is a progress pic of the small I am working on rigtht now. I did the boarder first. And shock of all shocks... it met up!

It may be a little bit before I get more done on this one as I want to get some time into Fiona. She is still languishing with just one page done.

adventures in dyeing!

I now have all the threads dyed and dried. And I have taken pictures. The sun is being all cooperative so I took the pics outside in nautral light.

First up we have a sky blue varigate. This was the second one I did.

Here is a pink varigate. I was going for red... oh well!

This is an odd colour, not sure what you would call it. I was trying for a dusty rose.... hmmmm.

Here is a greeny-blue varigated colour. Kinda pretty.

This is a very very bright spring green varigate.

This one is a dark purple varigate.

This is a dark blue I just dunked in the colour.

It was really fun to do! I think I need to get more silk and do some more.

floss

Vicki Clayton has a really nice sale going on right now for a bunch of white floss. I got a hank and have started trying my hand at dying. Tonight I have done 4 different colours. Right now they are drying. I have three more bunches that I am planning on doing tomorrow. It is really kinda fun. I am thinking about getting another hank, maybe two! This whole dying thing is a blast. I'll put up a picuture of my finished product when I have it all dyed and dried.

Last two finishes

Here are my last two finishes. One was from a little bit ago, and the wedding piece was finished last night.

Now I can work on the next UFO RR... and after that back to Fiona!

Time...

my son is out of the house all week this week... as is my husband. Maybe, just maybe... I'll get some really good stitching time! That would be so very grand.

Scary, a new post! Who would have thunk it! sigh

I have just had life happen and it has been keeping me away from blogging and stitching both! I've finished up an exchange I need to pop in the mail. Worked on the UFO RR I have, which also needs a mailing. And finished one of my smalls. I may get pictures up later.... time and life permitting.

Today I really want to get cracking on my bookmark exchange. A good night of stitching and I may even be able to finish it... finish-finishing will take another night. Then I need to get back to the wedding piece. Just the "D" to go. Eventually I will get back to my poor neglected Fiona... I haven't even started the second page!
