Day 28

Actually getting this one up on time.  After a rather stress filled night I need some nice.

Day 28.

Blackwork Dragon by Dragon Dreams.

This is not true blackwork because I don't know how to do that.  heh.  That said, I am having fun with the patterns.

Three more days.

Day 25, 26, 27

I was asked what fabric I used for Yaquina Head Light.  Sadly, I have had this kitted up for years and I don't remember what I chose, nor does it look like I kept the name as it isn't in the bag.  It really is a great colour.

Day 25.

Hurt Not the Earth by Plum Street Samplers.

Day 26.

Village of Hawk Run Hollow by Carriage House Samplings.

I have finished Houses of Hawk Run so now I am moving on to the Village.  One square outline done, just  a few more to go.  heh

Day 27.

M. Woods by Milady's Needle

This is on a 52 by 62 ct unevenweave fabric with special threads.  It is super tiny and quite the thing to work on.

Three more projects started!  Only four more to go.  I can do it!

Day 22, 23, 24

Life getting in the way of blogging again.

All new starts.  Lots of borders.  Kinda dull.  heh

Day 22.

Elizabeth by Carriage House Samplings.

Day 23.

Button Posies by Scarlett House

Day 24.

Goodness & Thanks by Plum Street Samplers

Really starting to run out of desire to start new pieces.  Just one more week.  Just one more week.  I am so looking forward to stitching on something for more than one day.  heh

Day 21

I brought out Garden Birds by La-D-Da.  This one is going to be neat if I ever finish it.  heh.  Not just the stitching part, I can do that eventually, but the finishing part.  I am really bad at that.

Day 20

I took out Yaquina Head Light.  I have been meaning to stitching this for years.  At least now it has a a start.

Yaquina Head Light by Silver Lining.

There are five different reds in there, so far.  Crazy colour changes!  I am sure it will make it look just amazing when finished.  I chose the fabric because.... well that is rather how things look on the coast of OR most of the time.  heh.

Day 9

I was reminded that even if I am not getting much stitching time each stitch gets me closer to a finish.  I need to remember that.  :)

I took out A Quaker Study by Carriage House Samplings.

Here is was before.

And after.

I am using two different, but similar, variegated threads (plus the solid red in the boarder).  I am enjoying the colour-play

Day 8

Took out Rites of Spring by Blackbird Designs.

Before.

After.

At least I have one bird now?
I'd love some solid stitching time.

Day 7

I pulled out Morning Glory by Drawn Thread.

This is before.

This is after.

One of these days I hope to get a decent amount of stitching time in.

Thursday, January 07, 2016

Day 6

I pulled out Mary Margaret by Carriage House Samplings.

Before.

After.

Truly the border is longer.  Really.  Trust me.

I had to take my cat in for dental surgery yesterday.  Made for much not wanting to stitch.  Kitty is home now and seems to be doing better.  We will see how he is eating in a few days.

Day 5

The thread I am using on my Beatrix Potter Quaker is Vikki Clayton's Hand-Dyed Fibers silk in Fish Pepper-ika.  Sadly she is no longer dying threads.

I worked on Tempting Teas by Tempting Tangles Designs.  I am a major tea drinker so it only made sense to get this chart.  Someday I will even finish it.

Here is was.

Here it is now.

Not much of a difference.  :)

Day 4

Pulled out Beatrix Potter Quaker.

Here is was before.

Here is it now.

I wish I had made a note of what fabric I used.  It is really nice.  I am also liking the thread colour.  Not one I typically use, but it looks great for this.

Day 3

Spent some time the other day wandering through some blogs.  Happy to see some quiet ones perking up.  Hopefully they are ll back to stay and not just having a new year blip.  :)

My Day 3 project was Forgiveness.

Before

After

There is a new Geek Blanket being released this year.  The blocks will be the same size as 2014, the one I am working on.  I may end up doing most of this year's blocks.  My blanket may end up huge, or  will putter out on doing it at all.  :P

Sunday, January 03, 2016

Day 2

I worked on Suzannah by Carriage House Samplings.

Here is where it was.

Now here is where it is.  Not too bad.

Here is was before. (surprise)

And here it is now.
