Well, that was a quick month!

I had no clue a month had passed!  Oops.  I've been busy.  Some of that time was even spent on stitching.

First.  I worked on Morning Glory.

Yes, a single ten hour rotation was enough to finish the whole piece.  It was fun to do all of the fancy stitches.  Also felt pretty good to have a finish so quickly!

Next I worked on Forgiveness.  Ugh.  This one drags as always.

Yes!  You do see that right.  Forgiveness is finished.  Completed.  Done.  I never have to pull it out again!  I super celebrated the end of this one.  Feels so good to have it finished.


Next up I get to work on Tempting Teas.

Forgiveness never ends

I swear this one makes me lose my mojo every time.  I need to power through.

Normally when I would power through this just so I could get to a finish.  With this one however, I am afraid I wouldn't stitch for the rest of the year if I tried that!  It is looking like I will only have one more push on this one.  So, I guess that is something to look forward to.  Just need this one to be done.  Ugh.  Never thought it would be such a slog.  I blame it all on the colours.  They are just too underwhelming.  Ah well.

Next up it Tempting Teas.  So nice to have one I look forward to so much!  Hopefully I will have an update somewhat soon. :)

Another ten

Fought my way through another ten hours on Forgiveness.  I really wish I liked this piece more. Sigh.

I found the bottom left corner!  Also found my poor measuring skills for placement.  At least I didn't run out of fabric.  I finished the second page too.  Finally.

Now onto Beatrix.  Will there be a finish?  I hope so!

Two for one!

Ack!  I really thought I'd posted my update for Mary Margaret.  Looks like I didn't.  Sorry!  So today you get a two for one.  TADA!

First... the part I thought I'd already done.

That tree did get done.  I started in on some of the animals as well.  Playing with the colours on this one still.  I think there are a few mistakes.  The raccoon is outlined in GREEN if I follow the chart symbols.  Crazy.

Then I moved onto Forgiveness.

Really starting to feel that this one will never be finished.  It just keeps going and going.  heh.  Still unhappy with the colours and trying to get over that.  Hopeful the next time this one comes up I can finish page 2.  There is very little left on it, but I just didn't get it this round.

Now onto Beatrix.  This one I still enjoy.  :)

A Touch of Forgiveness

My ten hours on Forgiveness.  Still not all that happy with how the colours are nothing like the cover photo even though I am using the called for threads.  The piece is nice it is just a lot more... bland and yellow.  Ah well.

I feel like I made really great progress this time.  I was hoping I'd get that last motif I started to the finished point, but I wasn't even close.  Almost finished with page 2 now though, so that's  good thing.  There are a few mistakes in the border but I didn't notice them until I was well past them so they are getting left in.

Next up Beatrix Potter Quaker.  I really enjoy working on this one.

Still here!

I am still here.  Still knitting.  Still in SockMadness.  Still stitching.  Still working, in fact doing a bunch of that.

I have finished two more pairs of socks.  Lemme see if I can get photos of them over here.

First there are the Rose and Thorn socks.

Then there are the Waimakariri socks.  That little bit of yarn between my toes was all that was left... eep!

There has been a little break before round 4.  A much needed break.  That last pair of socks was a hand killer.

Now for the real reason you guys are here.  :)  Progress on my stitching!

Hmm.  I really didn't feel like I did that much, but looking at the photos it wasn't too bad.  This piece never feels like it is that big until I get back to working on it. heh.

Now I have moved onto Beatrix.  She is much smaller so I hope I make some noticeable progress.  That and the only one colour thing sure helps speed things up.

I put together a new crafting spot in the living room.  I have a nice little corner with a light, a new chair, my knitting, my stitching stand.  All the needed things.  So far I am really liking it.  We will see how well it works for larger stitching projects.

Next up is Coverlet Candle Mat.  I wonder if I will be able to finish it this round?  If not it might be close.

Day 3

Spent some time the other day wandering through some blogs.  Happy to see some quiet ones perking up.  Hopefully they are ll back to stay and not just having a new year blip.  :)

My Day 3 project was Forgiveness.

There is a new Geek Blanket being released this year.  The blocks will be the same size as 2014, the one I am working on.  I may end up doing most of this year's blocks.  My blanket may end up huge, or  will putter out on doing it at all.  :P

Some stitching!

Advent scarf is at 70% finished.  No photos as it kinda looks like crap.  It needs some serious blocking.  Lace and cables are like that.

I did get ten hours in on Forgiveness.

Here it is now with the two full alphabets finished.  This one is going to take awhile.  heh

Now I get to move on to my next piece.  I have pulled out Coverlet Candle Mat by The Scarlett House.  I had just a tiny start on it before so hopefully there will be quite a change after ten hours.

I am also starting to make my plans for my January stitching.  I have joined a group which is going to do new starts for each day of January and February.  That is just a bit too much for me though.  I think my brain would explode.  I definitely have enough charts and such to do that.  I just don't have the mental ability to have that much going on.  So, my plan is to stitch on something different for all the days in January.  Some will be WIPs and some will be new starts.  Then those are the pieces that I will work on throughout the rest of the year in my rotation.  I have already pulled out a bunch of things to work on.  I may not work on each piece for very long on a given day.  Sometimes I have only an hour to work on something.  Still... it should be interesting.  Some in this group have plans to start a new piece each day for a year........ that makes my brain hurt!

Another Friday and more progress

I worked on Forgiveness this last time.  It was added this round.

As you can see I hadn't had much of a start on it.  Really rather pathetic there.

After 10 hours I think it is looking a bit better.

This one is a bit of an odd one.  The colours I am using don't look at all like the colours in the photograph.  I know that happens, but when the difference is so great it can be a bit of a bother.  After all many times I buy something based on its cover photo.  Ah well, I still like the design and the colours aren't bad.

Next up I head back to Quaker Diamonds.

I have also finished two more squares for my geek blanket.
