Oh Snap!

Yes, I finished up Snapperbets last night.  I was sooooo very close to running out of thread, yet again!  Gah.  That was one thing I really didn't like about this piece.  Why can't they put thread totals on them... it is nice to know if you need 4 or 5 skiens of something.  Ah, well.  It is finished.

Please forgive the horrible wrinkles.  This piece seems to have been abused.  Also, forgive the lighting in the pictures.... we have moved into dark winter grey mode and if I wait for a nice bright day I won't get any pictures taken for months!

I also took a picture of the Granny Stripe I am working on.  The colour in this picture is even worse!  Wow.  That truly is terrible.  Maybe next picture I will get better colour.  At least it is starting to look like a blanket.  I think I am really really going to like this one.

After finished up Snapperbets I pulled out a "new" old project.  Started getting it all set up again and... hmmm... I am missing eight thread colours.  I know that at one point I had all the threads I needed.  This just means that I have been robbing that kit for a bit.  ooops.  Now I need to replace them.  So, until I get those threads it will be put on hold for a little bit.  It isn't like I don't have  a ton of other things to work on.  Gah.  For now it will be part 3 of Odds and Ends.   :)

Weekend progress and an answer.

How grand of me to not tell you the name of the piece I took a picture of!  I guess you could just call it a teaser picture.  :)  It is by Tams Creations, and is one of her Odds and Ends pieces.  This one is being done through a German stitching group.  They are quite the group of talented ladies.  Who also get the next bits of chart out super fast!  I think it might have been an hour or so after I posted my last update that I got part 3 of the chart.  heh.

I did finish up my Fall Exchange piece, and here it sits all happy and ready to go out to the mail tomorrow.  I hate going to the Post Office on Mondays, so avoid it whenever I can.

I even got a bit of other stitching done.  I am two letters, and all the buttons and snaps, away from finishing Snapperbets.  No picture cause I didn't want to take it off the Q-Snap.  I am lazy.  I think I should be able to get it finished today, so should have a finish picture up tomorrow.  Maybe I will also take a picture of the blanket I have been working on too.  It is even starting to look like a blanket.  :)  Such a perfect piece to work on when the weather is all wet and nasty like it is now.

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend full of stitching and joy.

Lame stitcher

Breaking out this piece again.  Yes, I am the slowest SAL stitcher in the world.  I am not even sure what part they are on now!  I, however, just finished part 2.  Yes, part 2.  Lame!  Even more sad as I think stitching this one is a blast.  All that colour!  Now, I wait for part 3 to get to me, and for me to make time to stitch said part.

If I get to any stitching this weekend I will be working on Snapperbets.  Other than that I will be finishing up my Fall exchange piece.

Pictures and Prizes.

I signed up for and won one of the 31 Days of Halloween that two of my fellow bloggers are running.  So cool.  I can't believe the amount of work that has gone into it!  Anyhow, here is a partial pic of what I won.  Not at all surprising that my son only left me with the stitching and the bookmark, though I think he was very tempted by said bookmark.  The candy, stamp, pencil, walky dude... all disapeared into his room.

I also heard from my Halloween exchange partner.  She got my package!  Such a relief off my mind when I hear the things I sent made it to their destinations.  Here is a pic of what I stitched.

Bugnuts!

I had plans to do the last of the stitching on my fall exchange this weekend.  It didn't happen.  Why didn't it happen.... well,  Lord of the Rings Online and Civ V.  They sucked all my time away.  I plan to get the finishing done this week though.  Then on to Odds and Ends.  I really need to get back up to date with that SAL.

As for finishing all those finished pieces.  There are so many!  I am daunted.  I see such great finishes on other blogs and think..... "ooooh, I think I could do something like that!"  I don't really know if I can!  Only thing to do is, get a bunch of suplies and tell myself to plan a weekend!  I need to do that.   Maybe I can pull it off sometime before the end of the year.  yeah.  If I do.... then maybe I can be one of those super awesome people that has a bunch of super awesome finishes!

Pictures, finally!

I got enough time to take a picture on the Exchange I received.  TaDa!

I also took a picture of all my finishes that have been in a box for forever.  I really need to do something with them so I can have them out and see them!  I hardly remembered some of them.  Even worse, I think I have another box with finishes in it, but don't recall where it is.

Super Busy

I was crazy busy over the weekend.  Doing...\

This!

That is 25 jars of Quince Jam.

What little stitching time I have done is on an exchange.

I have also put a few more lines in on the Granny Stripe but have had no time to take a picutre.

My Halloween Exchange arrived.  It is a cute thread holder.  I just love it.  No pic yet.  Sigh.  Soon, I hope.

Stitching? What's that!

I have been bitten by the crochet bug.  My stitching is on a little break now.  I think I needed it after plowing through the last few deadlines.  I am working on a blanket.... one just for me.  It is really nice and easy.  It has been a long time since I had a hook in my hand, it feels nice!

Doesn't really look like much of a blanket yet, but it is a start.

I am just using plain ol' boring cheep yarn.  Nothing fancy here.  I want this blanket to be able to be abused.  Spilled tea!  No prob.  Butter from popcorn.  No prob.  heh.  It will be a wash and wear blanket.  :)

Serious numb-butt

That was my weekend. I finished up my HOE Halloween exchange. No picture until it gets to the destination. I popped it into the mail today.

I also finished up the model I needed to get done. It too is in the mail. I must say, I really didn't like this piece. I personally find it UGLY, so it was hard to work on. heh

Then I decided I needed some type of gothy-halloweeny wreath, so I made one. No picture of it either. Gee, I am terrible.

Now, I need to sit down and pull floss for my Fall Exchange.

A thankyou to the PIF people for sending me you addresses. I have all three now, so... now you can all wait on pins and needles to get your package. heee.

PIF and Goals

I have my three people for my PIF. Thanks so much for signing on. They are Joanne, Trillium, and Cole. If you three would be kind enough to send me your address, my e-mail is in the sidebar, then sometime in the next 365 day a something special package will be sent to you. Remember to put your own PIF on your blogs too!

I have been lazy in stating my goals for the month recently. It shows in my stitching. So this month I have made goals again!

October Goals

-finish HOE Halloween exchange
-finish model
-finish HOE Fall exchange
-finish Snapperbets (if I don't run out of thread a third time)
-more time into my smalls
-maybe start the next block on HOHRH

That should keep me out of trouble. :)
