Oh, my. The tenth WIPocalypse. How has this year gone so fast?!
I had an international move during this month, so progress was a bit slower than it has been. Amazing that! Also, I came home to two model stitching projects, slight mix up in the where I was living for a year thing, and had to stitch those up right away.
I will start with the two model pieces. There were no before photos for these.
First, Magic in the Air
This was finished on September 13th.
Second, Nantucket Rose
This was finished September 20th.
Now onto Crystal Ball.
Here is where she was at the last WIPocalypse.
And here is where she is now.
Slowly creeping toward that finish. :)
Hope all of you had a wonderful stitching month. After all the end of the world is almost here. :P

sigh
Still adding to the list of missing things. I just want my stuff. I really hope they find it. grrr.
In better news, I did stitch last night. Started moving down page 19.
Even The Kid is saying it looks like I will finish this year. heh. Every once in awhile he is my reality check, so it was good to hear. :P
In other good news.
Back during the Olympics The Wagon BB ran a stitcher's Olympics. I participated, and "won" the gold medal for the Long Jump. (The category for BAPs where you counted how many stitches you put in during the Olympics) As my prize, Jo at Dinky Dyes sent me some of her threads.
I was sent 20 full skeins!!! Look at those lush colours. I did the Olympic thing because I needed a push on my Crystal Ball, and it really helped with that. I got tons done, and it felt great. I had forgotten there were prizes! When I was told I "won" the gold I was reminded there were prizes. I never expected to be sent 20 skeins. Wow. I must say that cheered me up a little yesterday.

No page 19 start
I began the unpacking yesterday. Then noticed something. None of my clothes were delivered. Nor were my blankets, or the robes, or my jackets, or my stitching stand. But, yeah.... none of my clothes. The US delivered all that was sent, so now the company is trying to get in touch with the Belgium part of things. I just want my clothes damn it.
The stress of this, with the still being sick, made for a sucktastic day. There was no stitching because I spent the day dealing with this and making a list of all that is missing, that I can rememeber (cause the packing list we have isn't ours .... sigh) and then spent the evening killing things in a game.
Still quite unhappy, but think I might try to calm myself with some stitching later.
sigh.

And the Floor!
(First, thanks for the comments. I love reading them.)
The floor it is done! OK, so there is a tiny bit of floor over the last two pages, but it is just shadows and not crazy tile billion colours stuff. So, I am calling it done.
Also, I finished another page. Oh, yes, page 18 done! Two more to go. Tiny bitty happy dance boogie. (oh me, oh my, I think I really will finish this piece this year. *thud*)
All our stuff just arrived from Belgium, so I will be trying to unpack some today while still wilting from the hell cold. I do hope to start page 19 today. Maybe after I run out of energy unpacking ... the stitching can be my reward. That or a nap.
I have to remember to cover my threaded needles while I am not stitching. One of my cats tried to eat some of them! Thread, needle and all. Doesn't look like he succeeded, but I am keeping an eye on him. I don't need to be worrying about him like this. shesh.
I hope all of you are stitching away happily and staying healthy.

still sneezing
I may still be sneezing but in between naps I did get a touch of stitching into Crystal Ball. Sadly, a touch was all that was done. But, each stitch gets me closer to a finish.
That floor is a real beast. Looks all nice and innocent in it's black and white tiles, but oh no. Millions and billions of colours.
Happy Stitching and good health to you all.

sneeze sneeze sniff
Got no stitching done on the weekend. I did pick up my cats from my mom's house. They stayed with her while we were over in Europe. Then I ended up coming down with The Kids terrible cold. Ended up sleeping most of Sunday. I still feel terrible, but hopefully I can stay upright enough to stitch a bit today.
Hope you all had a better weekend than I did!

Slow
Well, I made it through the weekend. It wasn't even that bad. The Kid has good friends. :)
I am still not quite back to my regular schedule. I will try to get better at post Monday-Friday.
I am sure some of that is the fact I am still waiting on school books so haven't been able to start school for the year. Also, I had the damnedest time stitching that second model. I just couldn't get into it. It was dull. It turned out super pretty, but the stitching was BLAH!
It is Sweetheart Tree's Nantucket Rose. Pretty, but dull.
After I finally finished up with that I put Crystal Ball up on my new stand. I tried it out and just love it for my bigger pieces. I only put about 25 stitches in, so she didn't get a new photo. I hope to have some time to stitch on her this weekend, but there is lots of family stuff planned. We shall have to wait and see.

And so it begins
First, thank you for the welcome backs. :)
Second, I think I will be able to begin my regular posts again. Things in the house aren't back to perfect, but they are back to better.
It is The Kid's birthday today. He is 14 years old now. How did that happen so fast? We have three of his friends coming over to stay for the whole weekend. If I live through this it will be a miracle.
It is also IHSW. I finished up one of the two models I am working on last night. Picture is below. I will be starting the next one this weekend, if I have time. Any progress will be shown on Monday.
I didn't much care for the linen on this one. The dark colour wasn't a problem, but the thin thin threads, and gauzy feel were.
I can't wait to get back to Crystal Ball, but after this next model I need to make some progress on a SAL. At least it should be quick.

Fly by post
I made it back to the states. Decided to rearrange the house. Oh, boy. Never do that when first moving back from an international move.
It really did need it though.
Stuff should be delivered next week, maybe.
Some model stitching was sent to me while I was still living in Belgium. It sat in my in-laws house until we moved home. Now I am trying to scramble to finish it up.
Trying to get back into the normal routine over here. It's strange to be back.
The Kid is having a big birthday bash thing next weekend. Which means my house will be overrun with teen boys.
It is evidently IHSW as well this weekend. I do have stitching to do!
My husband bought me a new stitching stand. I love it.
Also, thanks for all the great comments on my Crystal Ball piece, and for the good luck wishes for my move. They were well appreciated.
Happy Stitching!
I hope to be back to more normal postings soon.
