SAT work

Here is the work I did on Friday. A bit more on my houses. I just love the keys!

comments and a finish

Isn't is just funnny what people call our hobby? I knew I wouldn't be the only one with a story. I also knew all of you would get it too. Ah, stitchers!


I was asked if I was making good progress on my small. Well, here is my finish for the small I have been taking around with me. I really wish I had a Macro lens so I could show off the rosebud stitch. I really enjoyed it.



Next up will be Flying Monkeys. It should be a fast one. I am missing the little bat button for it.

so, what is it I am doing?

I took my stitching with me to my son's boy scout troop meeting. During the meeting I had my stitching called both knitting and weaving. It was funny. Thought that I would share.

Is it a slump

or am I just too busy?

I haven't had a chance to put any stitches in anything since Thursday! Every time I turn around there is something else that needs to be done. Not all things are fun either! pout.

Last month I had to have a whole new sewer pipe put in. Not fun. Now, today... the basement sink is backing up, again! What can be going on wrong now. ugh. I really do think the plumber guy has his eyes set on me to be funding his next vacation to some really exotic land.

I will hope to get to my stitching again soon. Maybe I will even try to get some in today. After all, even one strand into something is getting something done.

Those beads I was waiting and waiting for.... the ones that arrived just this weekend.... the ones that were going to let me finish up Middi...

Yeah.... I ordered the wrong numbers. So, I have two boxes of the WRONG beads. stupid stupid me.

I didn't figure this out until I had Middi all set up again, and I pulled out the new beads. Needless to say, I really wanted to kick myself in the butt. And preceeded to do so, multiple times.

I have now ordered the correct beads. I can only hope they won't take over a month to arrive.

Excuse me while I go bang my head into a desk.

Friday stitching

This is as far as I have gotten on Houses block 4. Too much time spent with the frog on this block. I am hoping I have that frog kicked out now.



I also have the last beads for Middy so I think I should be able to finish her up today. Look for a happy dance post soon!

Middy issues

I have finished all the beading that I can do on Middy. I am missing two colours of beads. sigh. I ordered them early last month and figured I would have them by now, but nope. I did get the shipping notice for them today though, so at least they are finally on their way.

Until the get here I will work on my first exchange for the year. I may even be able to get it done before the beads arrive.

It still annoys me. I am sooooo close to a finish on Middy, and I CAN'T do anything to complete her! UGH!

silly me

I was so set on making my yearly goals I didn't even think about the fact that a new year also means I new month! And that, of course, means that I need to make my monthly goals. Only 4 days in... better late then never I guess.

First a review of last months goals.

December

1. 20 hours into UFO RR, mail date Jan. 4 Done, and mailing out today. It isn't late, yet.
2. Work on Middi Did lots of this... lots and lots.
3. Smalls while waiting Didn't do much waiting this month... too much time getting stuff taken care of....
4. HORHR for SAT Those days I did the SAT, yes. Missed two of them last month. I hope to get back on track to doing it weekly.
5. Try to stitch everyday, but while sister is here YES!


Over all not too bad, but I need some improvement. Now for this month.

January

1. Finish Middy, that does mean all the beads
2. Work on smalls while waiting
3. Stitch and finish first exchange for the year
4. HOHRH during SATs
5. Do NOT buy any new charts

Not many goals, but these should really be do-able.

Here she is now. All finished stitching and I have done all the other beads on the other faces.

I still need to do all the beading on Middy, and there is a whole lot.
