Finally finished

First I wanted to thank all of you for your comments on my last post. I only wish you all could see the piece in person... my phtography skills are lacking!

Now, onto my new finish. This is Tranquility (not so) Mystery Sampler. It came out in 2007, and that is when I started stitching it. Some time that year it fell by the wayside and ended up in it's project bag, neglected. I put it into rotation in my Smalls spot. It really isn't that small, but I knew that I would get to it and finish it if I did this. That and since it was done over 1 on 32 count it was still small enough to travel with.

Over the weekend at the beach cabin I put in the final stitch. It feels nice to have this one completed.

Framed

Every once in awhile I get off my butt and frame something. So, I did indeed do that. Wowza... pinning/lacing that long edge was HARD. heh

But, it is now framed. I just need to cover the back and put on the wire for hanging.

I had thought about making the a banner, but liked the look of the frame.

It's so long is is hard to photograph.

whew

I just spent two hours pinning my Celtic Banner. ugh. I need a softer place to stand... and a big big table. There are still a couple bubbles/fixes I need to make and then I will call it pinned. What a time consuming thing! It would be much easier if the piece weren't so dang long. heh. Once that is done I will pop it into the frame which came today. Then finish up the back, and poof! One framed piece. Wow. I'll get a picture up once I get it all done.

silly me

First, thanks for all the comments on Celtic Banner. It is a stunning piece and looks so much better in person. When I get the frame in and get all that together I'll take another photo of it. Also, Sylvia... thanks for the comment about the red book. I haven't tried the author to find it, not sure if I will unless I get real desperate for it. heh

In stitching news, I am a dork and didn't take a picture of Snapperbets when I stopped working on it last night. I had to stop as I ran out of Onyx thread, the thread that is used for every single letter. I have ordered more, but the piece is on hold til I get it. In the meantime I have pulled out Houses. I started house number five yesterday. I hope to get it finished by the time my threads arrive. Then it will be back to Snapperbets as it is about half way finished now.

I'll put pictures up again soon. They are so much more fun to see than my rambles in words.

no pictures and a whine

No picture of Snapperbets. I have done a bit of stitching but the evil frog monster also attacked. Maybe if I get any decent bit more done there might be a picture up tomorrow. Granted I said that the other day as well.

Now for the whine. I don't speak French... many stitching sites are all in french. And I am looking, and have been for ages, for a French book that is out of print. Petits rouges d'ici et d'ailleurs by Murial Brunet. Why did I have to fall in love with the book when it was already impossible to get!

New Project.

Here is what I will be stitching on now. I sent it out on the UFO RR after poor Fairy Moon got lost.

This is what it looked like when it came home.

I have done a bit more of the border so far. Hope to get a new picture up tomorrow.

I also ordered the frame for Celtic Banner. I think this is what I am going to enter into the fair this year.
