Finished!

First I finally got the missing pieces for my sewing machine.  I finally was able to finish up the project bags I was making.

TADA!!!!!

Two each.  Two bat bags and two spider bags.  The spiders have the bats and the inner fabric and the bates have the spiders as the inner fabric.  I quite like them.  I used The Twisted Stitcher's tutorial.  It was wonderfully easy to follow.

I worked on Beatrix Potter this round.  Here she was before.

Here she is after.  A finish!  My fourth finish of the year and my third finish of my January starts.  Not great on finishes this year.  Still, she is finished and I am quite chuffed with that.

Been spending today making quince jam.  It's is a time consuming jam.  Best I get back to it.

First, thank you for the comments on my work.  They are always nice to see.

Still quite enjoying Beatrix.  There is something soothing about just using one colour.  I feel some really decent progress was made this round.

At this rate I think this one might be a finish next round.  How exciting will that be?  It will only be my third finish this year.  I don't know if I have ever had so few finishes in a year.  Sigh.

More time with Bea

This round took a bit.  Amazing how little stitching time there is when you have tons of yard work to do and a vacation.  heh.

Got knocked out of the Madness in Round 6.  Still working on the first sock for that round.  My wrist needs a break so I am taking it.

And I have my 10 hours in on Beatrix Potter.

My son went to prom.  My sister visited.  My son made Eagle Scout.  He is finishing up his finals now.

Yeah.  Busy.  Still here though.  Just hoping I will start posing a bit more often now.

Beatrix Socks!

Well, not really.  Just my update on Beatrix Potter and my fist socks for Sock Madness 10.


First up.  Beatrix!!!

When I pulled her out this time I started wondering if my fabric was long enough.  Always that panic.  I decided to work down the left side.

Yes,  I do have enough fabric.  It does show how poorly I had measured and centered this one though.  Yikes!



Next up.  Socks!   I even finished these in time to go onto round two.

Now while I wait for round two I will work on Tempting Teas.  Exciting to be working on something new-ish!

Super productive weekend

At least in the stitching world.

I pulled out Beatrix Potter Quaker.  It is nice to work on something with only one colour.  heh.
