Trying to a head in my stitching

.... get it.  hahahahaha.  OK, terrible pun.

First, thanks for the comments on my tea piece. It is a great list.

I was working on Mary Margaret.

See, I got a head.  Ahead.... a head.  Yeah.  Terrible.  Lots of counting this time.  And recounting.  And counting again.  And frogging.  Then more counting.  That vine thing on the left was my nemesis.

Next up.  Well, something a touch different.  I joined The Silver Needle's Stitching Circle this year.  Earlier this week I received the first package.  Fraktur Friends by Plum Street Sampler.  It is too cute so I've decided to side-step my rotation to do this piece.  Once it is done I'll be back to the rotation.  I just can't face Forgiveness right now.  I am really looking forward to finishing that piece so I no longer have to be disappointed in it.

If I get the replacement pieces for my sewing machine I may even finish finish this one!  That'd be a shocker.

Tempting. Very tempting.

It is fall.  Ah, the beginning of fall.  We are even getting cooler weather.  I had to buy tea for fall/winter.  I was almost out!  If you know me... well, let me just say, I have a tea cupboard.  I like tea.  Lots of it.  heh.  I bought 2 lbs.  One whole lb of that was Earl Grey.  What can I say, I cannot live without my daily cup of tea.  mmm.  So it seems appropriate that this last ten hours was on Tempting Teas.

Still loving this one.  The colours are so great.  Much bolder than the cover photo shows.    Stitching all these tea names makes me happy.  Even if a few of my favorites are missing. heh.  When I pulled this one back out I noticed I'd made a bit of a mistake last time.  I had to start with frogging!  That is always a bit bothersome.  It is fixed now and I made some great progress.

Today I was getting all set to make myself four project bags.  I ironed, and cut, and ironed, and pinned.  Then when I was taking out the sewing machine I found that I misplaced all the feet and I have no clue where the bobbin case went.  No sewing got done.  Here I sit with no clue what to do next and four going to be awesome project bags just begging to be finished.  Sigh.


Next up is Mary Margaret. May she get more interesting this round.  :)

More Bea

First, thank you for the comments on my work.  They are always nice to see.

Still quite enjoying Beatrix.  There is something soothing about just using one colour.  I feel some really decent progress was made this round.

At this rate I think this one might be a finish next round.  How exciting will that be?  It will only be my third finish this year.  I don't know if I have ever had so few finishes in a year.  Sigh.

Two for one!

Ack!  I really thought I'd posted my update for Mary Margaret.  Looks like I didn't.  Sorry!  So today you get a two for one.  TADA!

First... the part I thought I'd already done.

That tree did get done.  I started in on some of the animals as well.  Playing with the colours on this one still.  I think there are a few mistakes.  The raccoon is outlined in GREEN if I follow the chart symbols.  Crazy.

Then I moved onto Forgiveness.

Really starting to feel that this one will never be finished.  It just keeps going and going.  heh.  Still unhappy with the colours and trying to get over that.  Hopeful the next time this one comes up I can finish page 2.  There is very little left on it, but I just didn't get it this round.

Now onto Beatrix.  This one I still enjoy.  :)

That was a quick 10 hours.  Amazing what happens when you come down with a terrible cough and don't have enough energy for much of anything.

This round took a bit.  Amazing how little stitching time there is when you have tons of yard work to do and a vacation.  heh.

A Touch of Forgiveness

My ten hours on Forgiveness.  Still not all that happy with how the colours are nothing like the cover photo even though I am using the called for threads.  The piece is nice it is just a lot more... bland and yellow.  Ah well.

I feel like I made really great progress this time.  I was hoping I'd get that last motif I started to the finished point, but I wasn't even close.  Almost finished with page 2 now though, so that's  good thing.  There are a few mistakes in the border but I didn't notice them until I was well past them so they are getting left in.

Next up Beatrix Potter Quaker.  I really enjoy working on this one.

Just a tiny bit more interesting.  The colours for the letters in the tree are similar tone-wise to the tree so they don't stand out all that well.  Which is OK I guess.  Next time this one comes up I hope to finish the tree.  Shouldn't be a problem; I just have the top branch and a few leaves to go.

Next up I am back to Forgiveness.

A lot of tea

First, thanks for the congrats on my sons Eagle.  It was a lot of work and he really deserves it.  Second, anyone who wants to try to knit socks.... go for it!  It's loads of fun.

Now, onto the stitching.

Those words sure went fast this round.  Still really enjoying this one.  Didn't want to put it away after 10 hours.  That is always a plus.  I am liking the colours.  It is quite different from the cover photo, but I like it more.

Next up is a new addition to the rotation.  Mary Margaret.  It will be good to get some time into her.

I have done a few socks.

Got knocked out of the Madness in Round 6.  Still working on the first sock for that round.  My wrist needs a break so I am taking it.

My son went to prom.  My sister visited.  My son made Eagle Scout.  He is finishing up his finals now.

Yeah.  Busy.  Still here though.  Just hoping I will start posing a bit more often now.
